Making Memories

The sun rises...it's my second favorite part of the day. The sun sets..it's the time of day when I am most happy to be alive...

The story behind this photo: I was with my parents at a restaurant in Florida when this guy showed up.He actually spent several minutes sitting in my lap eating crackers before he ran off to eat a french fry offered by my mom. The folks there had named him Seymore.

Filed under "Odd" : Some extremely strange looking cactus-thingy I saw in Tucson a couple of months ago. I think it looks like a critter from Sesame Street.

I sat on my sunglasses many months ago. I have been told these look good on my face, and so...I haven't given them back. They have been "borrowed" indefinitely.

Scrap Booking

We decided to enter into the Scrapbook World. Wow. Pretty much all I can say. We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and spent over an hour looking at little packs of vacation stickers and actually came home with several. I guess I thought this would be like putting photo albums together....alas, how wrong!!! I think we got Page 1 done in an hour. And then it was this huge discovery that our photo collection(s) were soooo not organized, and the portable storage device and the C Drive.....and the hard copies....everything really needed a good purging. Yeesh Sharon, how do you do it?
Long story? After cleaning up the computer, burning archival disks and snitting a time or two.....we got through Chicago. And that was only Pages 4 and 5. This really wound up being an all dayer.....I think it's going to be a lot of fun to do, but now I have a new respect for the scrapbook folks who crank out art-quality books.

No vacation count-down thingy here.....just knowing that I'll be leaving Saturday for a week is good enough. 4 more wake-ups and we are outta here!!!

Schnoodles

Schnoodles....
Samson is a schnoodle. His mom was a schnauzer and his poor father was a poodle. Samson is a year old. He is full of energy and has recently learned to catch a frisbee in flight. I think he is going be be an excellent agility pooch....once we get him to stop pouncing on the pekingii. What's a pekingii? It would be a pekingese, but with only one eye of course.

McKenna Elise

Welcome to my niece McKenna Elise, who decided not to wait for her dad to get to the hospital this morning at 3 am. McKenna delivered herself in her parent's car parked in a go cart parking lot.

Me and Storm

Welcome

Welcome to my personal space. I was asked once if I would rather be right...or happy. I have chosen "Happy".
What makes me happy? My life. My love. My dreams.

I am a writer, a thinker.... a dreamer. I do not, however follow through well, so please don't expect daily observations or narratives. This place may occasionally reflect a thought or two... so feel free to visit.
